Jennifer Steinorth: seminar and workshop on April 27, 2022
The Loop Group is proud to welcome US poet Jennifer Steinorth for a seminar hosted by Helen Mundler followed by a creative workshop.
Helen Mundler will introduce Jennifer Steinorth, who will then talk about “blackout and erasure as a way of writing poetry” before giving us a reading of her poetry. Jennifer will also be reading from her collection “Her Read”. This reading will be followed by a Q&A with the audience.
The second part of the session will consist in a creative workshop organised by Jennifer Steinorth and Helen Mundler. The participants are invited to bring with them a text they would like to alter, preferably a text (not poetry) that they “love, hate, or have some personal association with”. They will need a hard copy of the text, correction fluid or correction tape, a few pencils, coloured pencils and a black marker pen.
The event will be held on Zoom for Loop members and livestreamed via YouTube at the following link for anyone interested. Poets and non-poets welcome to join!
