Introducing LOOP

LOOP – standing for Laboratoire ouvert de l’oeuvre poétique – is a France-based association focusing on Anglophone poetry. It supports research on, and the reading and writing of, Anglophone poetry worldwide, past and present. It gathers academics, scholars, poets, and people interested in Anglophone poetry.
The LOOP website aims to:
– provide information on Anglophone-poetry-related readings, conferences and publications, organised by LOOP members;
– foster research by providing a platform for academic discussion of Anglophone poetry among researchers with a broad range of theoretical approaches;
– arouse and sustain the interest, nationally, internationally and globally, of academics, scholars, students, and other audiences in the reading, performance, writing, translating and teaching of Anglophone poetry;
– participate in circulating research on Anglophone poetry.

LOOP s’intéresse à la poésie de langue anglaise et se donne pour mission de soutenir la recherche en et la lecture de la poésie de langue anglaise. Il rassemble des enseignants-chercheurs, des chercheurs, des poètes et toute personne intéressée par la poésie de langue anglaise. Le site web a pour but de :

• regrouper des informations sur les lectures, les conférences et les publications liées à la poésie de langue anglaise ;
• d’encourager la recherche en proposant une plateforme ouverte aux discussions scientifiques sur la poésie de langue anglaise parmi les chercheurs en adoptant une variété d’approches théoriques ;
• susciter l’intérêt des enseignants-chercheurs, des chercheurs, des étudiants et des autres publics pour la lecture, la performance, l’écriture, la traduction et l’enseignement de la poésie anglophone ;
• participer à vulgariser la recherche sur la poésie anglophone.
